People go to a 1 star hotel which literally is just there for sleeping in then complaining is just wild to me. could use some retouches here and there. but really good overall and the reception ladies are really nice. Bonus: there are squirrels around the hotel!

The room was fine and the receptionist was very helpful and kind. But there is no elevator and the stairs are quite narrow.
I would say Hotel Victor is an amazing value for its location. The room is surprisingly cozy for two people and we found it very clean and tidy. Air conditioning is great and fresh towels are brought daily to your room. The bathroom is modern enough for my tastes and it was also spotless. The staff are very friendly and although they speak poor English if you repeat a concern they will understand. My only concern is the lack of an elevator for those people who cannot carry luggage upstairs. Otherwise with the very fair price you get a nice clean room for two with a private bathroom that is located approximately 3 minutes for the Montreal subway and also in the heart of downtown. I would highly recommend and would come back again.
For the price, it's a great place to stay! The lady in the front desk was very nice and accomodating. We came very early in the morning, but she let us check in so we can start touring the city. She asked us if we had heavy luggages because the only available room was on the third floor at the time, and there's no elevator, but our luggage was pretty light so we managed. The room and bathroom is very clean, had no issues. The main pro was the location, because it was a 5 min walk from the train station and several bus stops, and the bus that takes you to the airport stops nearby as well. If you're just looking for a place to stay while you spend majority of the day going around the city, then this is a solid choice!
A decent low budget hotel close to a lot of amenities and attractions. Room doesn’t have coffee or microwave or anything. Just a fridge, a basic bed, and a clean bathroom. Also the AC was new and worked very well on the hot nights. Can walk to Berri/Uqam metro station in 5 minutes and get to most places from there. Enjoyed the surrounding neighborhoods. Would recommend to solo travelers on a budget just looking for a base to explore from.

Arrived without a booking at 2 a.m., and the owners kindly accommodated us with the last available room. They were very welcoming, and the room was just right - spacious enough, with comfortable beds. Both the bedroom and bathroom were so clean. I definitely recommend staying here, but just keep in mind that the property doesn’t have a lift, so you may need to carry your baggage up to two floors.
